David Wellman

David Wellman has worked with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources since 2005. He is currently the District 1 Fisheries Biologist responsible for fish management activities in the 12 northern counties of our state. His position affords him opportunities to work on a wide variety of fisheries projects such as constructing fishing and boating access sites, assessing catfish populations on large rivers, water quality monitoring, and evaluating fish communities following dam removals. He obtained a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Kansas and a M.S. in Fish and Wildlife Management from West Virginia University.
